I've just tried to replan a route using previously-saved waypoints (which has always worked up until now). This no longer works. It says that there is a problem with all my waypoints. Also, if I try to create new waypoints, although they show on the map, they default to "untitled" rather than the street name as before. I've tried different maps, such as TomTom, but nothing works any more. I don't think it's a problem with my computer, but I will try using my backup Windows 11 laptop, to see if it exhibits the same problem.

It sounds like you are experiencing software issues with the ITN Converter program. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you might consider:
Check for Updates: Ensure that the ITN Converter software is up to date. Sometimes bugs like these are fixed in newer patches or versions.
Reinstall the Software: Uninstalling and then reinstalling the software can sometimes resolve unexpected issues.
Test on Another Computer: As you mentioned, trying it on another system, such as your backup Windows 11 laptop, will help determine whether the problem is specific to your current setup.
Review Software Permissions: Make sure that the software has the necessary permissions to access files and resources it needs. This may involve running it as an administrator.
Contact Support: If all else fails, reaching out to the official support for ITN Converter might be the best course of action. They could provide a solution specific to your issue.
Also, check online forums or communities for any similar issues others might be experiencing, as there might be a known workaround.
If ITN Converter is unable to get directions from one waypoint to another, there could be a few reasons for this issue:
Internet Connection: Ensure that your internet connection is stable, as the software might need to connect online to fetch route information.
Service Provider Issue: The mapping service used by ITN Converter might be experiencing downtime or issues. Check if there are any notices from the service provider.
Incorrect Waypoints: Double-check that the waypoints you have entered are correct and recognized locations.
Software Bug: There might be a bug in the software. Check for any available updates for ITN Converter that might fix this issue.
Format or Compatibility: Ensure that the file format or data input is properly configured for the program to process.
If none of these solutions work, consider reaching out to ITN Converter's support for further assistance.

I bought a new notebook and I want to transfer the program. How do I transfer my favorite places to my new notebook? Is there any save folder where this is located?

Yes, you can transfer your favorite places in ITN Converter to your new notebook by locating the save folder where they are stored. You can typically find this folder in the program's installation directory or in the "Documents" folder on your computer. Simply copy the contents of this folder to your new notebook to transfer your favorite places.

I've opened a MAP exported from the Google Earth and added a few waypoints. The software was able to detect the waypoints and also allowed me to export to any of the file formats that were available in the Export section.
Try downloading the latest version of the software from the link posted below.
the app works and even plots the route in whichever map you chose but, there's no map displayed just blank space

It seems that there might be a technical issue with the display of maps in the "ITN Converter" program on Windows. The app is working and plotting routes, but the maps are not being displayed. This could be due to various reasons such as a compatibility problem, missing map data, or a glitch in the software. It is recommended to check for updates, ensure proper installation, and seek technical support from the program's developer or community forums for further assistance in resolving the issue.
Since February 2024 I've noticed ITNConverter would no longer find locations! Whatever location I type in the search box ITNConverter returns something on the lines of:
"The geographic location 'London' cannot be returned due to legal or contractual reasons." System specification: Windows desktop PC Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9600K CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GHz processor 64 GB RAM 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Windows 10 Pro version 22H2

It seems like ITN Converter is unable to provide geographic locations due to legal or contractual reasons since February 2024. This could be due to changes in data providers or licensing agreements. You may need to look for an alternative mapping software or contact the ITN Converter support team for more information.
